Danny Kioko Foundation(DKF)
The Danny Kioko Foundation (DKF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for underprivileged children and their communities in Kenya and beyond. The foundation emerged from the numerous cases of need Danny encountered during his evangelism missions across the regions in Kenya and East Africa. The COVID-19 pandemic, subsequent droughts coupled with political unrest exacerbated existing challenges, significantly increasing the number of children living in poverty.
Despite limited resources, DKF supports over 100 children, ensuring they attend school and meet their basic needs while living with their guardians who are unable to provide for them. Many of these children are suffering from severe malnutrition and other various health issues.
Many of these children have lost their parents at a young age or have been abandoned, leaving them vulnerable to the dangers associated with street life. This home will offer them a safe haven where they can escape the hardships and risks of living on the streets. Our compassion extends to children with special needs, many of whom are directly or indirectly affected by HIV/AIDS and whose parents are unable to provide adequate care. These special cases require not only empathy but also substantial resources to address their unique needs effectively.
In Kenya, one of the ten most populous countries in Africa, is home to nearly 53.8 million people, with 30% residing in urban areas. In Nairobi County, a staggering 46.5% of the population—approximately 6.5 million people—live in informal settlements. Economic challenges are a significant factor in the proliferation of these settlements. According to UNICEF’s 2022 report, one in three Kenyans lives in monetary poverty, affecting around 15.9 million individuals. Moreover, half of the population experiences multidimensional poverty, which encompasses a lack of access to healthcare, safe drinking water, nutrition, housing, and sanitation. Alarmingly, more than half of Kenyan children—52.5%—live in conditions of multidimensional poverty.
The recent severe drought has further exacerbated the economic situation, severely impacting children’s education. UNICEF reports that 1.57 million children are at risk of dropping out of school due to the inability to pay school fees and the necessity for children to work to support their families.
We carry a profound responsibility to change the destiny of these children, and we cannot accomplish this alone. Your support is crucial. By donating to the Danny Kioko Foundation, you are not only providing immediate relief but also contributing to long-term solutions that will break the cycle of poverty and vulnerability for these children. Together, we can build a future where every child has an opportunity to thrive.
Thank you for your support!

Mission and Vision
Vision
Creating a world of hope to children, hence flourishing communities
Mission
To be the premier Foundation providing the infrastructure and support needed for children to grow, expand, and realize while reaching their full potential.
- Provide basic needs (Food, Shelter and Clothing) – DKF pools resources and supports the children with donation of relief food, clothing. We are constructing a children’s center/home that can house 100 homeless children and with access to a chapel and community library services in Kenya.
- Educate – Underprivileged children often have no access to quality education. Without education, they end up with no jobs; therefore education is the most/t important we can give these children. We pay school fees and donate learning materials including school uniforms to them.
- Mentor – Most underprivileged children come from dysfunctional families. This often leaves them with various traumas and mental health issues which molds them into dysfunctional adults. That is why mentorship and compassion is essential for these children to become better and responsible adults who can contribute positively to their lives and to the society at large. We conduct mentorship sessions, make follow up calls every term to determine progress of the kids, as well as visiting the sponsored children once every time to check on their progress.
